Thanks to the Chinese site MyDrivers it became known that in obsolete models iPhone you can breathe new life by changing the region in the settings. After switching to France, Apple’s smartphones are becoming faster and more responsive.
Comparing the results in the AnTuTu benchmark showed a significant performance gain. After the change of region, the overall result of the iPhone 7 increased from 286 632 to 298 321 points, and the processor data increased by almost 9% – from 78 719 to 85 477 points.
Recall that in 2023, the French authorities fined Apple 25 million euros for slowing down old iPhones with the release of the new iOS.
