Officials criticized for installing flower pots similar to pipes from Mario games

The authorities in the British city of Walsall have been criticized for installing 15 large flower pots on the main street, which in their appearance resemble pipes from Mario games. According to local residents, this decision of the city administration is a waste of money from the state budget.

According to British media, the situation is aggravated by the fact that they want to cut the city’s budget by 29 million pounds.

“We’ve had a lot of store closures over the past few years, and the best management can come up with is installing these awkward monsters,” local florist Andrea Loveridge told Birmingham Mail. “These pots made the street look like the pipes from Super Mario Bros. where Mario jumps.”

“Everyone calls them Mario pipes, which makes our city a laughing stock,” added supermarket employee Sue Morrison.
