Sequel development officially confirmed Paramount pictures and Sega sammywho told Variety about the return to the project of the original team.
The continuation of “Sonic in the movie” will be directed Jeff Fowleras well as screenwriters Pat Casey and Josh miller.
The work is still at an early stage, so the decision regarding casting or the filming start date has not yet been made.
“Sonic in the movie” was created based on the popular franchise of Sega. The first film, released in February this year, tells the story of the fastest hedgehog in the world, finding a new home on Earth.
Sonic, voiced by Ben Schwartz, and his best friend Tom, performed by James Marsden, unite to protect the planet from the evil genius of Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey).
