According to numerous sources, NVIDIA plans to reintroduce GeForce RTX 2060 (including Super). Edition Overclocking.com claims the company has already sent out new graphics cards to partners. The volumes of shipments were not specified.
NVIDIA will release a graphics card next month GeForce RTX 3060GPU based GA106 with architecture Ampere… The company is positioning it as a successor to the GeForce RTX 2060 with noticeably higher performance. Re-implementing the predecessor seems like a very unusual decision, however, probably necessary due to the limited number of GPUs on the Ampere.
A year ago, the price of the RTX 2060 (not Super) was reduced by $ 50 – before $ 299… And in December 2023, the first reports of the termination of production of the RTX 2060 began to appear. But it is almost impossible to find it on sale. And where it works, the RTX 2060 costs twice as much.
