Based on true events: Sony showed the trailer for the film “Devyatayev”, aerial battles for which were filmed in War Thunder

Company Sony pictures presented the debut trailer for a new military-historical drama “Devyatayev“based on real events.

The film tells about the Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Devyatayev, who, together with a group of other prisoners of war, escaped from a German concentration camp in a hijacked Heinkel He 111 bomber and delivered strategically important information to the command about the secret center where the FAU-2 missiles were produced and tested.

“Summer 1944. Soviet troops are on the offensive, but the enemy is still very strong. In a battle with German fighters, the Soviet pilot was shot down over enemy territory and taken prisoner. Now he has to make a choice: die in a concentration camp or go up to the sky again – but on the side The pilot chooses the third option – escape. But how to hijack a plane from a specially guarded military base, where the Nazis are developing a weapon of retaliation that can change the course of the war at the last moment?

One of the features of the picture was the scenes of air battles, which were created using online military action War thunder from Gaijin Entertainment… Leading actor Pavel Priluchny (“Major”, “On the Game”), together with streamers, played several dozen air battles according to a given scenario, the recordings of which were then transferred to CG specialists from the Bazelevs studio.
