In the Chinese forum Chiphell alleged photos appeared GeForce RTX 3080. As far as one can judge from the pictures, the video card received a very non-standard design, suggesting the presence of a large curved radiator and two fans located on opposite sides of the case.
On the back you can see that the RTX 3080 design is based on a V-neck PCB, which allowed engineers NVIDIA Place one of the fans closer to the GPU. A similar solution has already been applied in the reference version GeForce GTX 295where there was also a cutout in the circuit board under the fan. In addition, the photographs show the absence of power connectors in their usual places, which may mean that they could be transferred to the right end, as in the Quadro series. Next to the mounting plate is the new NVLink connector.
The next generation GeForce RTX will be based on Ampere architecture, which will also be used in professional GPUs. According to the latest rumors, the GeForce RTX 3080 will be built on a GPU GA-102-200 with 4352 CUDA cores and 10 GB GDDR6 memorythat in theory will give about 15 TFLOPS video core performance 1.75 GHz or, in other words, it will be almost on 40 percent more powerful than the current GeForce RTX 2080.
NVIDIA has not yet confirmed the release date for the new video cards, but judging by the fact that the design has already leaked to the network, there is not a long time left before the launch.
