NVIDIA canceled 20GB GeForce RTX 3080 and 16GB RTX 3070 – rumor

VideoCardz reported, citing two independent sources, that the company NVIDIA canceled december launch GeForce RTX 3080 for 20 GB and RTX 3070 16 GB.

Journalists note that the company decided to cancel these models of video cards, and not postpone them to a later date.… At the same time, early NVIDIA reportedly also refused to release GeForce RTX RTX 3070 Ti

It was expected that the GeForce RTX 3080 (20 GB) was supposed to be NVIDIA’s answer to the upcoming video cards AMD Radeon RX 6800 / 6900 with a Navi 21 GPU. They should get 16GB of storage.

One source claims the RTX 3080 (20GB) could be canceled due to difficulties in manufacturing GDDR6X memory… The reason for abandoning the RTX 3070 (16GB) is unknown, although it should have used GDDR6 memory, which doesn’t have such issues.
