This week Scavengers out in early access Steam and Epic Games Store, but only the owners of the keys that were handed out for watching broadcasts could play the shareware cooperative shooter Twitchstreamers.
However, problems soon arose. Some players did not receive their well-deserved keys, and the developers ran out of Steam keys, so they started sending out keys for the Epic Games Store (fortunately, the game supports crossplay and transfer of progress between platforms).
The situation was further aggravated by the fact that the Scavengers servers could not stand the influx of players. On Steam, the peak online reached 13 thousand players. Soon, the developers carried out technical work, and also decided to abandon the distribution of keys and opened early access for everyone.
The authors note that as part of early access, they plan to erase the progress of players to maintain balance after the release of major innovations. As compensation, the developers promise bonuses and rewards for all players after the final wipe.
