The truth, however, turned out to be much simpler: behind the creation of the virtual hero is a fan of the franchise, who thus wanted to celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of MGS 2 – the original appeared on November 13, 2001.
As the fan notes, he just wanted to pay homage to his favorite game in a non-trivial way, but the situation got out of control when rumors began to spread about the re-release of the second part.
