The Nintendo Switch Exclusive maintained its top spot despite a 24% drop in sales. Japanese console dominated again in UK this week: arcade racing Mario Kart 8: Deluxe finished the way to the second position (-23%), platformers Super Mario 3D All-Stars (-3%) and New super mario bros u (-15%) moved up to ranks eight and nine, respectively. Top 10 fitness game closed Ring fit adventure (-37%). The top twenty bestsellers in the country included ten Switch exclusives at once.
The dance game kept the third line Just Dance 2023 from Ubisoft (-29%). Last week, 87% of all her UK boxed sales came from Nintendo Switch (!)…
It is also reported that thanks in large part to the hybrid system, sales of games from retailers in the first two weeks of 2023 grew by 27.4% compared to the beginning of last year. If we compare the same two periods solely in the context of projects for Switch, then sales figures grew by as much as 120%.
The only game in the last ten weeks that saw sales increase was Grand theft auto 5… Thanks to a 6% increase, the timeless hit Rockstar Games climbed from eighth to fourth position right away.
