In the fall of 2018, the company Nexon released the western version of the prequel to one of the oldest online role-playing games, Maplestory 2. And on May 27, the global game server will be closed.
We will be forever grateful to you for the patience and dedication of MapleStory 2. We tried to remake the game, starting with Project New Leaf, but ultimately decided that we could not give you what you expect.
We carefully studied the current state of the game and its development plans and, unfortunately, came to the conclusion that it will be difficult to develop the game in the long term, while remaining true to what MapleStory 2 made your MapleStory 2.

Buying game currency is already closed, and those who bought it since December can apply for a refund. The developers have made a number of game bonuses permanent and removed many restrictions, including access to dungeons.
