New Witchfire Shooter Gameplay & Development Report

Studio manager The astronauts Adrian Khmelyazh shared an update on development progress Witchfire is a first-person shooter set in a monster-infested world ruled by a ruthless Inquisition.

According to Khmelazh, they have finally completed the foundation of the combat system.… Basically, this means that the team is now completely happy with the shooting mechanics of their project and can focus on building the rest of the game around it.

At the moment, the developers are prototyping the main gameplay – this is the next important stage in the production of the project. Hop calls the process difficult because the ideas for Witchfire, while not innovative, have never seen anything like it before.

The development of Witchfire has been going on for over 5 years. While the studio is committed to creating a stress-free work environment for its employees and avoiding crunches, the ongoing pandemic has further complicated an already complex development cycle in which game development has to be done from home, making it nearly impossible to make instant decisions.

At the moment, Witchfire does not even have an approximate release date, and only PC has been confirmed from the platforms.
