Studio Croteam suddenly released the first update for the PC version in five years Serious sam 2 in Steam… The developers immodestly called the update “ultimatum” and “forever changed” the cult shooter. The list of innovations is as follows:
- New weapons – beam cannon and flamethrower;
- Enemy multiplier option is now available in singleplayer and co-op
- 12 unreleased NICs from the dusty basement of Croteam headquarters.
- All weapons can now be used in pairs;
- Added sprint and rocket jump;
- A radar for tasks, enemies and NPCs has appeared.
In addition to new content, the authors made changes to the gameplay, for example, added the Colt reload and doubled the Uzi’s rate of fire, and also worked on visual changes. In particular, the resolution of the UI and menu textures has been doubled, the clarity of all fonts has been increased, as well as the animation for the chainsaw, rocket launcher and grenade launcher has been improved. On top of that, the customization of the display of the mouse cursor has been added, the possibilities for modding have been expanded and various minor bugs have been fixed.
