New Ace Combat officially in development, 7th installment reaches 3 million sales

The new part of the series of aerial action games Ace Combat is officially in development, as was announced during the Ace Combat 25th Anniversary Flashback Stream today.

“More than anything, I hope fans will be delighted to know that development for the next game has already begun,” said Ace Combat series producer Kazutoki Kono.

The game is known to be co-produced Bandai namco And studio ILCA, who previously helped to create Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (development of cinematics and environments). The project is described as a “new era” for the franchise, further details are not specified

Also, as part of the broadcast, the updated sales of Ace Combat 7 were revealed – the game became the first in the series to step over the mark in 3 million copies

August 31 The game will be releasing a free update featuring Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) aircraft skins and classic background music from past Ace Combat releases that will play during multiplayer matches. Two more DLCs are planned ahead.
