Netflix’s “Kate” is another vibrant movie for the evening to watch

Company Netflix quite successfully set up a conveyor belt of entertaining action films with strong women in the lead roles. New project from Cedric Nicholas-Troyan (“Snow White and the Huntsman 2”) Takes the viewer to the neon streets of Japan, where a professional killer is wielding Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). However, a girl with character has her own rules – she never kills parents in front of children. But exceptions always happen, which in this case lead to sophisticated revenge and poisoning of the main character “Polonium-204”. Now she has only one day to heroically find the customers of her own slow death and punish the entire criminal elite of the yakuza.

Combining vibrations “John Wick” and “Wasabi”, The authors of the project are betting on bloody naturalism. Knives through jaws and noses, severed fingers and realistic hand-to-hand combat fill the environment with violence and blood. “Kate”Masterly combines magnificent fights with a rare lyrical digression, clearly demonstrating the main attractions of modern Tokyo. Add pepper to the picture with their participation Tadanobu Asano (Mortal kombat) and Woody Harrelson. Though stained in blood and mud Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona in “Scott Pilgrim vs. All”) Doing deadly flips is great in its own way.

If we put aside all the choreography and vivid fights with blood and cruelty, then on the surface there will be a fairly predictable film of category “B”, where the main villain is guessed in the first ten minutes of the story, and the plot moves are too banal. On the other side, “Kate”Is one of those films we watch for the action and fantasy of the stunt writers, not the tearful drama or the unexpected plot twist. And the authors of the picture fully cope with this task, delivering a magnificent hour and a half of adrenaline-charged time.
