Gaiman, who is also involved in production, tries to approach the project from a position as if the story of the Dream began to be told only in 2023. Because of this, certain aspects of the work may change as a result – in terms of character, gender, and even location.
Gaiman again mentioned that for years he had been offered to adapt Sandman, but earlier these proposals did not look tempting. Nobody would give a big budget for a full-length film adaptation with a high rating, and the technology on television for a long time could not show the fantastic worlds of the original in full.
The screenwriter has already been shown the design of some locations – Hell, the palace of Lucifer, and the result, according to him, was amazing.
There is no exact date for the premiere of the series.
