Based on the bestselling book of the same name, the film tells the story of a woman named Anna Fox who suffers from a debilitating form of agoraphobia and cannot leave her city apartment. However, her already difficult life slips into the abyss when she witnesses a brutal crime committed across the street in another apartment building. The police start to investigate, but everything turns out not quite as it was initially imagined.
