Nano-power that does not need a video card: Crysis launched on AMD’s new processor

Last week, sales of a new 64-core processor from AMDwhich is called Ryzen Threadripper 3990X. The company positions it as a productive solution for professionals.

However the youtube blog team Linus Tech Tips decided to load the processor at a cost of four thousand dollars by running it Crysis. No graphics card, no integrated GPU – just pure AMD power.

The experiment surprised me – the 64 cores of the Ryzen Threadripper 3990X took over the calculations that the video card usually performs. The result can not be called ideal, because the game was able to run at minimum settings, there were strong brakes and lags. However, this is still impressive.
