Music kills conservation: Rockstar disappoints PC gamers with new update for Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition

Rockstar Games has recently released a fresh update for Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition at Steam. The patch returned to the game previously cut radio stations RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM and Vice City FM, but at the same time “killed” the save system.

Messages about the problem began to appear in large numbers in discussions on the Steam forums on May 28th, and all due to the fact that after installing the update the saves ceased to be displayed, so the passage had to start again. The developers promptly responded to complaints and “rolled back” the game to the previous version, with which the newly added songs again disappeared from it. However, after this a new troubles appeared: now many Steam users cannot launch at all Grand theft auto iv due to error 1001 related Rockstar Social club. You can solve the problem if you change the system date in Windows to May 29 or earlier.

When Rockstar will fix a startup error and return an update with music until it is specified.

An updated version of Grand Theft Auto IV appeared on Steam in March this year. Reissue lost service support Games for Windows Live, multiplayer and leaderboard, but instead got a Steam achievements system and a set of free add-ons Episodes from Liberty City.
