Company Msi confirmed that processor support Zen 3 will appear on boards with the 400th series of chipsets. This will apply to models that have 16 MB of EEPROM memory or more. In the first case, the developers will remove support for the old Zen CPUs, so that after flashing, return to Matisse will be impossible.
But on boards with 32 MB of memory such problems will not arise – there is enough space to support both old CPUs and the latest Zen 3.
It has not yet been announced when new firmware will be released, but most likely this will happen with the release of the fourth generation of processors or shortly before. It is also unclear whether the firmware will be available by default on the site or will have to be requested from the manufacturer.
Most likely, other motherboard manufacturers will also announce the same support in the near future.
