Mind Games: Introduced Galea brain-computer interface with VR and AR headset integration that reads minds

Biotechnology company OpenBCI, based in Brooklyn, NY, recently introduced Galea – a brain-computer interface that integrates into AR– and VR– headsets.

OpenBCI has created an open source brain-computer interface that allows computers to interpret your thoughts. The company is now working on introducing this technology to virtual and augmented reality devices.

The Galea platform integrates multiple biometric devices, including an electroencephalogram, electromyography, photoplethysmogram, as well as skin electrical activity and eye tracking sensors. This will give developers access to data to load it into game engines.

The company did not go into details of Galea’s hardware or software.
