Microsoft expects Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S supply shortages to continue through April 2023

Almost the entire first batch Xbox Series X / S was sold out on pre-orders, leaving many fans unable to purchase new consoles on launch day.

Retailers are expected to list a limited number of Xbox Series X / S from time to time as new consoles become available. but for the foreseeable future, supplies will be small and sparse

“I think we will continue to see supply shortages in the post-holiday quarter, which is the end of fiscal third or calendar one,” Xbox CFO Tim Stewart said during a keynote speech at Jefferies Interactive Entertainment.

“Our entire supply chain will continue to operate at full capacity until the fourth quarter, approaching the pre-summer months. At this point, I expect supply levels to match demand.”

Against the background of a shortage of new consoles and a high demand for them on the Internet, speculators have become more active, seeking to make money on the resale of Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 at fixed prices. Many trading platforms, including eBay, Avito and others, are now strewn with such ads.
