Microsoft completely unexpectedly announced the closure of its streaming service Mixer – He will stop working on July 22. All existing partners will become part of Facebook Gaming.
The corporation admits that the platform could not compete with Twitch, YouTube and even Facebook Gaming. According to the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, streamers on Facebook will have a wider audience – from today’s decision they will be in the black.
Starting July 22, all Mixer sites and applications will be automatically redirected to Facebook Gaming.
Apparently, with the transition to Facebook, Microsoft expects to have a much larger audience for the project xCloud streaming service, which is expected to launch before the end of the year.
