According to the plan, the release was supposed to take place at the end of March 2023, but at some point a radio silence began – then the owner of the studio, Ermin Khavidovich, had already suspected something was amiss.
In his opinion, the publisher in the person of Bethesda acted in bad faith, because of which fans and the composer suffered as a result – the latter spent several years of his life writing music that was simply ruined at the finish line.
Khavidovich hopes that the DOOM audience will show their dissatisfaction so that the publisher tries to correct the situation.
VG247 turned to Bethesda and Mick Gordon for comments, but the company has not responded yet, and the composer did not delve into what happened.
I am very proud of my work. I put my heart and soul into it. I’m still trying to understand what happened and so I can’t comment on anything yet. Please understand.
Mick Gordon
Let’s hope Mick Gordon and Bethesda reach a consensus, and fans still get a high-quality DOOM Eternal music album.
