Lead Review Aggregator Metacritic conducted a survey among its users, during which the best games were determined by the outcome of last year and the whole decade.
Voting for the best games of 2019 was as follows: the participants were asked to rate their five favorite games, where the first place received five points, and each subsequent one-point less from a higher position. At the end of the survey, the game with the most points was recognized as the best by Metacritic users in 2019.
The results of the decade were summed up according to a different scheme: users were asked to name only one of the best games of the 2010s. In the final list of places were distributed by the number of references.
In the vote for the best game of 2019, the leader was a remake Resident evil 2who scored a total 2088 points. Behind him settled down Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (1813 points) and Death stranding (1298 points). Top 15 looks like this:
The best game of the decade, Metacritic users identified The last of us / The Last of Us: Remasteredreferred to as such 331 times. The second and third lines took The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (163 references) and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (118 references). Top 10 formed the following titles:
