Sony has launched the development of a film adaptation based on the action role-playing game Demon’s Souls FromSoftware Studios. This is reported by the portal Giant Freakin Robot citing a trusted inside source for Monica Rambeau’s appearance in the upcoming Marvel Studios series Secret Invasion.
It is noted that we are talking about a major film project… It is currently unclear what the exact plan is with regards to adapting the story, but journalists have heard a specific thing – Demon’s Souls are preparing to make a film.
The original Demon’s Souls and its recent remake for the PlayStation 5 console tell the story of the kingdom of Boletaria, which was taken over by demons because of the king who awakened an ancient entity known as the Elder. Players control the character created in the editor, so the authors of the film adaptation have the opportunity to come up with an original protagonist.
If the rumor is confirmed, Demon’s Souls will join other upcoming film adaptations of PlayStation exclusives. The Uncharted prequel movie has already been shot, production of The Last of Us is about to begin, and a television adaptation of Twisted Metal is looming somewhere on the horizon.
