Lucasfilm has no plans to look for a new actress for the role of Kara Dune – Igromania

On the site The Hollywood Reporter material about dismissal was released Gina Carano of Lucasfilm and “The Mandalorian”, where they reveal a number of details “from the inside” of the situation.
Recall that the actress was fired after a series of scandalous posts on the network, and then Carano herself announced the production of her new film, adding that she was not going to “cave in” to the culture of “cancellation”.

According to THR, Disney was unhappy with Carano’s behavior for a long time, and the actress’s colleagues repeatedly warned her about the possible consequences of a collision with the studio. Some wondered why Carano even continued to release controversial posts, putting the author of “The Mandalorian” Jonah Favreau into an uncomfortable position.

However, the decision to dismiss was made not by Favreau, but by the highest representatives of Lucasfilm – while Carano learned about all this from social networks. Before the scandal, representatives of the actress were rumored to be in talks to raise her salary and expand her role in the universe through their spin-off. Lucasfilm representatives later denied the second point.

In addition, the studio announced that for the role of the heroine Kara Dune will not look for another actress, although THR sources initially claimed otherwise. Probably, it will simply be removed from the further narrative.

It also became known yesterday that the toy manufacturer Hasbro stopped the production of figures of the heroine – and after that their prices instantly skyrocketed by eBay.
