Polish studio Retro boneswho is working on Verge World: Icarus, announced a major addition. Harry Winnick, former creative director of the legendary studio, joined the game team LucasArts.
Vinnik worked on famous games Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure, Maniac mansion, Rescue on Fractalus!, Defenders of dynatron city and Star Wars. Among his recent achievements is a pixel detective Thimbleweed park.
As part of Retro Bones, Harry Vinnik will be involved in concepts and art for Verge World: Icarus. It’s a sci-fi racing shooter set in the distant future. And the players in it will get the role of a smuggler who joins the rebellion against the corporate regime.
To reinforce the retro look of the game, Verge World is slated to be released on retro consoles: Amiga, Atari, Macintosh and SEGA. But the game will also be released on Nintendo Switch and in Steam. Those interested can get acquainted with the demo now VergeWorld: Icarus Rising. Nothing is known about the release date.
