In less than a month on streaming service Disney + a new miniseries production kicks off Marvel Studios – “Loki“.
The six-part show will send the God of cunning and deceit on an adventure across different alternative worlds and, as Kevin Feige previously described the series, will be a kind of crime thriller, however, the creative team of the project did not seem to limit itself to genre boundaries, drawing inspiration from a variety of sources, some of which quite unexpected.
In a recent interview with the publication Entertainment Weekly director “Loki” Kate Herron mentioned some projects that served as inspiration for the authors of the series. Among them was Ridley Scott’s cult sci-fi film “Blade Runner“, serial drama”Madmen“and, unexpectedly,”Teletubbies“…
Teletubbies is a British children’s TV series BBC, which tells the story of four humanoid plush creatures with antennas on their heads and TV screens in their bellies, who live in a fictional magical land. The show started in March 1997 and stayed on screens until January 2001. A total of 365 episodes were released over all seven seasons.
At the same time, Herron kept silent about the context of the connection “Locke” with the “Teletubbies”, saying that “the fans will just have to wait until June 11th.”… Probably, the interview with her was recorded even before the change in the release date of the series, since the premiere was recently shifted two days earlier, to June 9th…
