“In the past, we mentioned that we did not seek to give sexual orientation to our characters. The idea was to allow players to create their own story and identify with the character with whom they are most connected,” the message said.
“Now, with the expansion of the Dead by Daylight lore, with the details, we realize that such a vision is not true. In the past, we focused on heterosexual characters,” the developers admitted.
“We understand that this no longer reflects our views. The game continues to evolve, and thanks to your valuable feedback and questions regarding the variety of characters, we have revised our plans and position.”
