Left Behind: Neil Drackmann commented on the possibility of DLC for The Last of Us 2

First part The last of us after the release I got a few spoons of additional content, including a story extension Left behind, however, in the case of the sequel Naughty dog doesn’t plan to release any DLC to it.

This was stated by the creative director of the studio Neil Drackmann in the new issue of the program Kinda funny gamescastwhere, along with actors Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, spoiler discussed a new game.

Apparently, the multiplayer mode, which was supposed to appear in The Last of Us: Part II, will indeed be released as a separate game. Naughty Dog herself hinted at this last year. Then the studio explained that in the process of developing “Fractions” for The Last of Us 2, the vision of the developers went beyond the limits of the additional regime, and therefore it was decided not to include it in the main project. The studio noted that fans will be able to enjoy the fruits of the ambitions of the multiplayer team in the future, but not within the framework of The Last of Us: Part II.

At the same time, in May, the gameplay of the network component of The Last of Us 2 was leaked to the network, but it was an earlier version, and at the moment it is not known how the multiplayer will look like.
