In the case of Alan Wake, all rights to the franchise are currently in the hands of Remedy Entertainment, which, according to insiders, is already making a sequel with the support of Epic Games as part of a previously announced deal to develop two games for the publisher. A remaster of the original “Alan Wake” has been rumored before, but there is no official confirmation, as with the Final Fantasy VII remake.
