The arena shooter genre has made the history of video games, although in recent years the appeal of the audience has gone down and is so that slowly many players have turned to other shores, leaving the schizophrenic rhythm typical of these games to few, affectionate users.
In recent times, however, it seems that the trend is reversing, and many development studies are creating projects that are riding between the classic arena and the most popular MOBA. This is the case of the successful Overwatch or, to make a more recent example, Quake Champions.
LawbreakersBleszinsky’s new title is in fact a first-person shooter with a well-outlined and friendly character so much that we just did not know how to get in touch with controls, classes, and modes.
The law behind the Lawbreakers project is very “light” and we have seen more than one simple imputation to justify the massacre that happens in the various maps: to battle there are two classics, guardian and thieves, if you like. On the one hand the Law, government agents with the sole purpose of enforcing the law; on the other, the Brakers, impious criminals ready for everyone to bring to their end the controversial goals.
Class Based Arena
The structure of the game resembles more than a classic FPS, with a very standard gunplay that varies depending on the weapon we use. There are then classes, which are divided into Assassins, Enforcer, Titan and Vanguard. Certain classes will of course be more lethal, others heavier and less manoeuvrable, while others will create a good mix of all the above.
