Company Konami will revive the closed game of the Castlevania series. It’s about mobile Castlevania: Grimoire of Soulswhich was announced back in April 2018.
The soft launch of the project took place in Canada in September 2019, but the game did not reach the international release, closing a year later.
Now the Japanese publisher has announced that Grimoire of Souls is coming soon Apple arcade on iOS… At the same time, apparently, in-app purchases were removed from the game, since projects with microtransactions are not allowed in the subscription.
Grimoire of Souls is inspired by the classic 2D Castlevania and offers 60 stages to play with five playable heroes to choose from, including Simon Belmont (Castlevania), Maria Renard (Rondo of Blood), Alucard (Symphony of the Night), Charlotte Olen (Portrait of Ruin) and Shanoa (Order of Ecclesia).
According to the description from Apple Store, the game will offer a wide selection of equipment, as well as daily and weekly missions, and more other playable characters. Character design for Grimoire of Souls was developed by Ayami Kojima, who previously worked on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, while writing the title theme Yamane Michiru, who was the composer of Symphony of the Night.
Konami is also rumored to be preparing a compilation album for release at the moment. Castlevania advance collection, which will include re-releases of three games from the Game Boy Advance: Circle of the moon, Harmony of dissonance and Aria of sorrow…
