In the latest podcast episode VGC the founder of the publication Andy Robinson said that in recent years, Konami has been actively looking for partners to continue its series.
Other interesting details were also revealed during the podcast.
For example, Sony and Hideo Kojima’s relationship to release Death stranding “Cooled down”: during the creation of the corporation, the leadership changed – some people signed the project, and others released it. The release took place a year or two earlier.
The situation is similar to Days gone Death Stranding sold well and was lucrative, but the mixed reviews from critics did not correspond to the new direction of development of the PlayStation.
In addition, as noted by journalist Christopher Dring, Microsoft does not have major releases from its own studios anytime soon – unveiled last year. Fable, Everwild and Perfect dark are very far from being released and, as Dring jokingly points out, “may be out for the next Xbox.”
