Kojima Productions employee gets infected with coronavirus, Death Stranding creators office closes

Japanese studio Kojima productions urgently switches to remote work after receiving news that one of its employees became infected with the coronavirus. This is stated in an official press release published today.

According to the report, the sick worker is at home and has not appeared in the office since March 20. The results of his test for coronavirus came only today, and they turned out to be positive.

Public health officials reported Hideo Kojimethat since the first symptoms of the patient appeared outside the office and since then he has not appeared at work, other employees of Kojima Productions are not considered to be his “close contacts”, do not need isolation and can continue to work normally.

However, in order not to expose itself to additional risks, the studio decided to temporarily close the office, sanitize all rooms and work remotely.

Kojima Productions is currently preparing the PC version of Death Stranding for release and is working on new unnamed projects.

As of March 30, the number of coronavirus infected in the world exceeded the mark of 724 thousand people. 34 thousand people died.
