A few years ago, PlayStation SNES owners were offered $ 1.2 million (75 million rubles) for the device, but then they refused to sell. Now they managed to gain only 300 thousand dollars.
This is a record deal for gaming products at Heritage Auctions, but it is well below $ 1.2 million.
In 2009, the PlayStation SNES prototype was in the hands of Terry Dieboldwho bought it without knowing it, along with a number of other things for a symbolic sum of $ 75 – the company where he worked went bankrupt, and various office items packed in boxes were sold among employees.
In 2015, his son Dan was sorting trash in the attic and accidentally discovered a prototype console literally in a garbage box.. Realizing that this is a real treasure, he talked about the find on Reddit. Later, the prefix was launched, after which Dybold and his son traveled to various exhibitions for several years and showed rarity to the world. Only in 2019 did they decide to sell the system.
