Company Netflix decided on the first actress for one of the main roles in the series “The Witcher: Origins“, which will unfold 1200 years before the main show with Henry Cavill… The show will tell about the Conjugation of the spheres, when the worlds of people and various creatures merged together, thereby giving birth to the first mutant witchers.
According to the portal Deadline, the title role in the new project will be played by actress Jodie Turner-Smith (“Queen and Slim“,”JettAccording to the brief description, the artist will embody on the screen the image of an elite warrior named Eily, who has a divine voice. She left her clan to become a roaming musician, however, certain events on the Continent force her to take up the blade again.
The Witcher Origins will consist of six episodes and will be executive produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan de Barra, while the author of the book’s primary source Andrzej Sapkowski will act as a creative consultant. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
