At the same time, many regions received consoles before Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Although there was no planning for the distribution process, all preorders should receive their standard PS5 as early as next week. But residents of “difficult” regions (the Chelyabinsk region is cited as an example) will have to wait about two weeks. However, we are talking about an optimistic scenario, because everything may change in the future.
But the delivery of accessories in sufficient quantities in the store is expected next week. As for the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Russian gamers have pre-ordered several thousand consoles, although they come in small batches (50-100 boxes each). In the current conditions M.Video is pressing hard on Sony to increase supplies. But next week only two or three shipments should arrive.
The retail chain, on its own initiative, allocated 500 bonus rubles to all customers who did not receive the PS5 on time, while there is no talk of compensation from Sony. You can also write an application for compensation of 0.5% of the penalty.
The saddest news is that the chances of the PS5 going on the free market before the end of 2023 are extremely slim. According to a preliminary forecast, stores will sort out pre-orders by December 6, but they are already collecting new pre-orders for December.
