The vampire witches in Resident Evil Village will live in the castle. They are sensitive to sunlight and are also cannibals. According to the lore of the game, they are the “daughters” of Lady Dimitrescu – the title’s antagonists.
Probably, the images of Lady Dimitrescu’s “daughters” are inspired by the brides of Dracula from Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”. In the literary work, the girls also lived in the castle and were a kind of family of the protagonist. Dimitrescu is compared to the Count of Wallachia by fans, but officially when creating the villainess Capcom was inspired other heroines – serial killer Elizabeth Bathory, Morticia Addams from “The Addams Family” and a tall, creepy woman from Japanese legends.
