Intel’s tenth-generation desktop processors may come out in May – review

Until recently, Intel kept the intrigue and did not report on the release dates of new processors Intel Core tenth generation Comet lake. And although they will be made using outdated 14-nanometer technology, they are credited with up to 10 cores and frequencies above 5 GHz.

And now, it seems, it became known the time of release of new products. They should be expected in May, when the appearance of motherboards on logic is planned Intel Z490 with LGA 1200 socket.

New boards will not be compatible with current processors. In addition, they will not receive support for PCI Express 4.0, but will only work with the third version of the protocol.

Note that some manufacturers are already preparing a number of models of boards based on Intel Z490 system logic, although they have not yet officially announced them. It should also be added that the new processor family will receive multithreading support for all models – i3, i5, i7 and i9. Thus, without hypertrading, only the youngest entry-level models will remain.
