Insider: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Development For Nintendo Switch Proceeds Without Difficulties – Announced Coming Soon

Famous American journalist and insider Emily Rogers confirmed that the studio Monolith Soft company Nintendo is currently working on a large-scale role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for family consoles Switch… The announcement is expected soon.

In correspondence with users, Rogers noted that the production Xenoblade Chronicles 3 passes without complications, which she is very happy about. According to her, the studio experienced a lot of stress during the creation Xenoblade Chronicles X for Wii U

“Developing Xenoblade Chronicles X was very difficult for the studio. It was a stressful, painful experience for Monolith Soft. Some people in the studio still have nightmares about Xenoblade Chronicles X,” Rogers wrote.

Xenoblade Chronicles X was the first HD game in Monolith Soft history and the studio’s first stationary work with online elements. The developers allowed gamers to freely explore the whole planet without loading screens between continents, moving on battle robots on land, water and air. Launched in 2015, the game sparked controversy among fans of the original Xenoblade Chronicles, but has built a strong fan base that has been asking Nintendo to host a Wii U port on Nintendo Switch for several years now.

“Fortunately, development on Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade 3 took place in a much more relaxed environment,” added Rogers.

From the Xenoblade Chronicles X: The Secret File Art of Mira, released in Japan in 2015 became knownthat Xenoblade Chronicles X was originally planned as a game with a well-developed protagonist and without online. When the development of this version was completed by about 50%, the authors decided to turn the hero into an avatar and dilute their brainchild with multiplayer functions. At the same time, the plot was completely rewritten, since the main character had to be cut out of it. Some characters from the original story in the final game became presets for avatars, others were removed, and new ones were added to the game. In general, the work on the game took five years. In turn, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released two and a half years after the premiere of Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Launched on Switch in 2017, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 quickly became the best-selling member of the series and Monolith Soft’s most successful original work since its founding in 2001. The remaster of the first part of Xenoblade Chronicles, which followed in 2023 on Switch, also became very popular, selling in the first month more circulation than the original for Wii during its entire existence.

In parallel with the work on Xenoblade Chronicles, Monolith Soft studio takes part in the creation of flagship blockbusters Nintendorepresenting series such as The legend of zelda, Splatoon and Animal crossing
