Adventure puzzle Lost Words: Beyond the Page – the debut game of the English studio Sketchbook games. Her idea was born during the jam Ludum Dare 26 in 2013, and since then the project managed to collect a whole string of awards and nominations at gaming events.
During the awards ceremony New York Video Game Awards 2023 game publishers, studio Modus games, released a new trailer for Lost Words. It shows the plot of the plot and gives fragments of the gameplay.
The heroine of the game, Izzy, writes a fairy tale about a girl named Robin (or Grace, or Georgia), who lives in the idyllic world of Estoria. A dragon attacked the village, and the girl embarks on a journey to understand what caused the dragon to do so.
The gameplay combines a traditional platformer and an unusual approach to puzzles. We study the game world to discover new words and phrases, and then rearrange them on the page so that the story can continue.
