Famous Japanese horror author Junji Ito clarified his words about the conversation with Hideo Kojima… Last week mangaka reportedthat creator Death stranding suggested that he work on a horror game that Kojima could do in the near future.
Since many took Ito’s words literally, and some even began to expect horror from Kojima on PS5, mangaka had to explain on Twitter. He stated that the conversation with Kojima took place in a friendly and not businesslike atmosphere, and the phrase about the game was dropped fleetingly.
“In my last interview, I accidentally mentioned that I had received an offer from Mr. Kojima, but in fact it was a random phrase thrown at a party. He said the following: “If the opportunity arises, I will ask you for help.”… I apologize to Mr. Kojima and all the fans that I may have given false hope. “
Previously, Hideo Kojima announced his intention to work on a horror game. This idea came to the game designer after the cancellation of the Silent Hills project from Konami studio and the release of P.T., on which Kojima worked with Guillermo Del Toro, Norman Reedus and Junji Ito.
