After the launch event Honor X10, Honor president Zhao Ming made an exclusive interview for the media. He asked in the affirmative when asked if Honor would consider MediaTek single-chip platforms with support for 5G networks in the future. According to Mina, MediaTek has been their partner in the case of various product lines from the first years of the Honor brand.
“Our strategy remains unchanged: MediaTek has always been an excellent partner and in the future we will continue to cooperate with it on single-chip platforms with 5G support. We strive to use different platforms and offer better products. In the future, we need to cooperate on about using multiple platforms at once, “Ming said in an interview.
While the line of single-chip systems from MediaTek with 5G support is limited to the Dimensity 1000L / 1000/1000 + and Dimensity 820 models.
Since the use of chips Kirin due to US sanctions, it’s at risk, MediaTek’s systems look like a viable alternative for Huawei. But who can guarantee that the trade war between China and the United States in the future will not affect the factories and this Taiwanese manufacturer?
