Dialogues, choreography of fights, animations – everything that happens makes you once again think that you are watching some cool animated film about Mortal Kombat, and you are not going through the game.

It would be unforgivable to describe the plot with spoilers, so I will say this: the main message is that no one believes Shan Zong (and for good reason). The scriptwriters managed to interestingly replay the events of the original part, succinctly introduce new heroes into it and even preserve the corporate degree of absurdity from time paradoxes. The finale of history is completely accompanied by a chic twist and offers two endings to choose from – good and evil. And both, I assure you, are magnificent.

But personally, I wanted to play Aftermath because of something else – new characters, of whom there are as many as three: the wind god Fujin, the four-armed Shiva and the brutal Robocop. They turned out to be rather ambiguous.

New heroes are cool, but with a reservation

Robocop first came to “Mortal Kombat” and would fit well with the roster of heroes, if it were not so boring. He has only a few reliable options and combo hits, and he poses the greatest danger at a distance. The authors equipped Robocop with a whole arsenal: in addition to the canonical gun Murphy, he carries with him a sniper rifle, a shoulder grenade launcher and even a miniature rocket launcher.

Is Aftermath Worth the Money?

The big patch really changed Mortal Kombat 11, and not only for owners of Aftermath, but also for owners of the basic version of the fighting game. The authors made many changes to the balance of fighters, added free Friendship finishes, new battle arenas, and collectible items for heroes. Even the title screen of the title has changed.

It is a logical question – is it worth putting money for the DLC, given that for them you get only three characters and three hours of cut scenes? On a PC, it costs $ 825, and if you play on a PS4, you’ll have to pay as much as $ 22,99! And if the cost of DLC for computers is quite adequate, then on the PS4 the price tag was broken. For that kind of money, you can buy an AAA title a year ago or take a new game on sale.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will definitely please fans of the fighting game. New fighters and the continuation of the plot are well worth the money. In addition, this means that NetherRealm will support the game for a very long time – provided that the first add-on is in good demand.
