How tactile feedback is used in the remake of Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man: Miles Morales – new game details for PS5

Remake Demon’s Souls will use the features of the controller DualSense, thanks to which players for the first time in the series will be able to feel what is happening on the screen.

The Official PlayStation Magazine has revealed some new details on how the tactile capabilities of the gamepad will improve the gameplay experience. According to the material from the magazine, with the help of adaptive triggers, the player will be transferred to the unique sensations from each type of weapon and magic spells, and through tactile feedback it will be possible to feel the blows of opponents during parry.

According to the creative director SIE Japan Studio Gavin Moore, tactile sensations are integral to the Demon’s Souls experience as they not only enhance immersion, but are actually a complete addition to the gameplay.

In addition to Demon’s Souls, DualSense’s tactile features will also be fully utilized in Spider-Man: Miles MoralesOPM writes that players can literally feel through the gamepad how Miles builds up an electrical impulse and fires it… The sensation will be transmitted through crackles flowing from the left side of the controller when charging to the right when the attack starts.

The magazine added that the tactile sensation will also be used in conjunction with Miles’s ability to become invisible and allow players to sense the direction of enemy attacks.
