how it’s done – review

A few months ago the company Nvidia held a GTC presentation, during which she presented the RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 video cards. And now the company told how they prepared this presentation and how much work the technicians and artists had to spend.
During the show, Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of Nvidia, began his story in his own kitchen. But at some point, his figure was in the “omniviverse” of the company. The creators admitted that almost the entire two-hour presentation was conducted by a “real” director. But for 14 seconds it was replaced by a cleverly crafted copy.

To create a digital version of Jensen, specialists scanned his entire body, trained artificial intelligence to copy his gestures and facial expressions, and then edited everything to heighten realism. They did the same for the director’s kitchen: they collected hundreds of photographs to build a convincing copy of the room.

How the preparation took place and how the Omniverse created by the company helps to combine all kinds of 3D graphics tools, is described in a special video.
