Horror The Medium Gets A Major Patch – Improved Performance, Camera, Ray Tracing And More

Studio Bloober team announced the release of the update 1.1 for the psychological horror The Medium. Size update 3.9 GB is already available for download to all game owners on PC and Xbox Series X / S.

According to a note, the patch improves overall performance, fixes graphical, gameplay and audio bugs, optimizes ray tracing, and improves interaction with events and characters in the game.

Full changelog:

  • Optimized overall performance;
  • Fixed gameplay bugs in some locations;
  • The detected errors that led to crashes were eliminated;
  • Fixed other bugs reported by players;
  • Fixed graphical bugs;
  • Improved camera work and settings;
  • Fixed problems with lighting in some locations;
  • The detected crashes when loading saves have been eliminated;
  • Improved interaction with events and characters;
  • Optimized ray tracing;
  • Fixed problems with sound.

Gematsu I have already evaluated the performance of the game with the new patch and found that the developers have finally solved the problem with the incomplete loading of the video card – in one of the tested scenes, you can see an almost twofold increase in performance… Unfortunately, the update did not get rid of the statters when DX12 is enabled, so the portal recommends playing in DX11 mode.
