This week Sony launched pre-orders Horizon forbidden west for PS4 and PS5, and players were disappointed that PS4 buyers were not offered the option of a free (or even a small surcharge) upgrade to the PS5 version.

But now Ryan has issued a fresh message regarding the situation and assured that owners of Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free.
The head noted that last year’s announcement concerned the launching cross-gen line of the new console, and Horizon Forbidden West had to be postponed after that – apparently, that’s why the company did not provide a free upgrade this week.
In addition, Ryan confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation crossgen exclusives coming to PS4 and PS5 in digital or on disc can be upgraded to the current generation console version for $ 10. This also applies to the new God of war and Gran turismo 7…
Recall that Horizon Forbidden West will be released on February 18, 2023 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
